Expiry Notifications

Get a heads-up in WorkVerge before workverge.ai or its SSL certificate expires, no calendar reminder spreadsheet required.

Real-world scenario

Maya Chen · IT Manager at Bluewave Labs

Last year a staging cert expired over a long weekend. Maya asked Carlos to turn on WorkVerge alerts so the team sees domain and SSL warnings in the app before outages or email bounce spikes.

Before you begin

  • Domains tracked in WorkVerge with current Whois data
  • SSL fetched for hostnames where you want certificate alerts

Overview

WorkVerge sends realtime notifications when a domain registration or linked SSL certificate is approaching expiration. Alerts appear in the notification bell while you are logged in, use them alongside the Digital Assets expiry summary cards for a full picture.

Notification bell

The bell in the header shows an unread count. Click it to open a panel with tabs for All, Unread, and Archive. Mark items read as you handle renewals, or use Mark all as read after a weekly review.

Sample alert

Domain campaign.workverge.ai expires in 28 days (Namecheap). SSL for app.workverge.ai expires in 12 days (Let's Encrypt).

What triggers alerts

  • Domain expiration. Based on Whois expiry (typically warned around 30 days out)
  • SSL expiration. Based on the linked certificate expiry after you fetch SSL

The Digital Assets page also shows counts of domains and certificates expiring in 30, 60, and 90 days, useful for Maya's stand-up before individual alerts arrive.

Settings

Enable or adjust subscription-style alerts (including domain and SSL expiration) in your profile under past notifications or in organization settings. If Carlos is not seeing alerts, check that his account has these toggles on.

Stay ahead of expiry

  1. 1

Add domains and fetch SSL in WorkVerge

Notifications use Whois expiry for domains and linked certificate expiry for SSL. Without fetch, SSL alerts will not fire.

  2. 2

    Confirm notification preferences

Open your profile or organization settings and ensure domain and SSL expiration alerts are enabled.

  3. 3

    Watch the notification bell

When a domain or cert enters the warning window (e.g. 30 days), a badge appears on the bell in the header.

  4. 4

Act from the alert or filtered list

Click the notification to jump to the asset, or filter the domain list by expiry range to batch-renew at Namecheap or Cloudflare.

Pair notifications with the expiry range filter on the domains list for monthly renewal sweeps at Bluewave Labs.
