ITAM / Dashboard
ITAM Dashboard
Your morning briefing for asset operations. CMDB health, renewal risks, and quick dependency lookups, so Alex and Maya spot problems before they reach the board.
Real-world scenario
Alex Kim · VP of IT at Bluewave Labs
Every Monday, Alex opens the ITAM dashboard before standup. A dipping CMDB health score and three domains expiring in 30 days tell him where to focus the week, without exporting spreadsheets.
Before you begin
- ITAM license enabled for your organization
- Assets already imported or created in WorkVerge
Overview
The ITAM dashboard is your command center for asset operations. Open ITAM → Dashboardto see CMDB health, asset counts, operational charts, and the relationship pathfinder in one place. Maya checks it weekly for renewal risk; Alex uses it for executive readiness.
- 1
Open ITAM → Dashboard
Land on the command center with CMDB health, asset counts, and operational charts in one view.
- 2
Check the CMDB health score
A composite score reflects relationship completeness and data quality. Use it to prioritize CMDB cleanup before the next change window.
- 3
Scan asset statistics
Summary cards show counts and trends for domains, SSL, servers, devices, vendors, and tickets. Filter by time range where available.
- 4
Use the relationship pathfinder
Search any asset and trace upstream or downstream dependencies without opening the full graph.
- 5
Open WorkVie AI for advisory
Ask for unlinked asset suggestions or a remediation plan when the health score dips.
CMDB health score
The health score reflects how complete and connected your configuration database is. It factors in linked relationships, coverage across asset types, and data quality signals. When the score drops, blast radius and pathfinder results become less trustworthy, treat a low score as a to-do list, not a badge of shame.
Bluewave Labs: typical health score drivers
- Improves score: Linking new hire laptops to employees and teams
- Improves score: Connecting api.workverge.ai to prod-api-01 and its SSL cert
- Hurts score: Servers added via import with no domain or owner relationships
Asset statistics
Summary cards and charts show counts and trends for digital assets (domains, SSL, servers), physical devices, vendors, and open asset tickets. Use time-range filters to compare this quarter to last, helpful when Maya prepares vendor renewal reports for finance.
Relationship pathfinder
Search any asset and trace upstream or downstream dependencies without leaving the dashboard. Pathfinder is the fast path; when you need the full canvas, jump to the CMDB Relationship Graph for pan, zoom, and filters.
Custom dashboards
Pin widgets that match your role from ITAM → Dashboards. Operations leads might foreground ticket volume; executives might pin CMDB health and domain expiry. Custom dashboards also live under Reports for cross-product views.
