ITAM / Domains
Edit Domain
Keep domain records accurate after registrar moves, price changes, or when you archive old marketing hostnames.
Real-world scenario
Carlos Reyes · IT Admin at Bluewave Labs
WorkVerge moved DNS for app.workverge.ai from Route 53 to Cloudflare and renewed at a new price. Carlos updates the DNS provider and cost so Maya's spend report stays correct.
Before you begin
- Domain already exists in WorkVerge
- Edit permission on digital assets
Overview
Edit keeps your inventory aligned with reality, registrar transfers, DNS migrations, and renewal pricing all belong in the record. Whois expiry dates refresh when you open the domain detail view; you do not edit expiry manually.
Step-by-step
- 1
Find the domain in ITAM → Digital Assets → Domains
Use search or filters if WorkVerge has dozens of hostnames listed.
- 2
Open Edit from the row actions or detail drawer
You can edit inline from the list or from the full domain detail view.
- 3
Update the fields you need
Change registrar, DNS provider, auto-renew, price, status, tags, or description. The domain name itself cannot be renamed, add a new record if the hostname changed.
- 4
Click Save
WorkVerge validates your changes and recalculates org-currency price when price or currency changes.
