Overview

The employee directory feeds everything downstream: DEX folder targeting, device assignments, org chart visibility, CMDB people nodes, and Employee Portal identity. Keep manager, team, and workplace fields current, stale data propagates to surveys, tickets, and blast radius.

    Open My Organization → Employees & Teams

    The directory is your source of truth for people data across ITAM, DEX, and the Employee Portal.

    Search, filter, and sort

    Narrow by team, workplace, or employment status. Priya uses filters to audit onboarding cohorts before month-end.

    Open an employee profile

    See assignments, linked devices, CMDB relationships, and workplace in one drawer.

    Run onboarding or offboarding wizards

    Coordinate provisioning and surveys from profile actions, device assignment, access requests, and DEX check-ins in one flow.

    Open team detail pages to edit membership and view the team relationship graph in the CMDB.

Lifecycle wizards

Onboarding and offboarding wizards coordinate IT and people ops tasks from the employee profile. They tie into DEX Onboarding and DEX Offboarding surveys so Priya does not chase Carlos in Slack for laptop assignments.

Import before wizards

When bulk hiring, run the unified CSV import from Configurations → Import/Export first, then trigger wizards from the filtered list of new starters.

CMDB links

Employee and team relationship pages show assigned devices, apps, and services in the CMDB graph. When Sophie gets a laptop and Figma access, those edges appear on her profile, useful for offboarding checklists and blast radius when a team restructures.
