Daily Check-in

Share where you're working today in under a minute. Sophie signals remote status so teammates know not to expect her at SF HQ.

Real-world scenario

Sophie Park · Software Engineer at Bluewave Labs

Sophie is working from home to focus on a release. She checks in as Remote before standup so Jordan knows she is available on Slack but not in the office.

Before you begin

  • Employee portal access
  • Daily check-in enabled in org configuration

Overview

Daily check-in captures lightweight attendance or wellness signals each day. It gives hybrid teams visibility without full time-tracking complexity, one tap in the morning, not a timesheet at night.

Check in

  1. 1

    Find the Daily Check-in widget

On the employee dashboard, locate the check-in card, usually near the top beside leave and announcements.

  2. 2

    Select your status

Choose office, remote, or out of office as configured for Bluewave Labs. Options may vary by org policy.

  3. 3

    Add an optional note

A short note or wellness response is optional. "Remote. deep work AM" helps managers without full time tracking.

  4. 4

    Submit for today

WorkVerge records one check-in per day. You can update before end of day if plans change.

  5. 5

    Managers see team patterns

People leaders view aggregated check-in summaries in Manager View, not minute-by-minute surveillance.

Sophie's Tuesday check-in

  • Status: Remote
  • Note: Deep work AM. reachable on Slack
  • Submitted: 8:42 AM PT

Forgot to check in?

Update before end of day. Managers see today's latest submission, not a history of edits. Pair with Leave Management when you are out multiple days.
