Export Servers to CSV

Download exactly what you filtered, perfect for quarterly spend reviews or audit requests.

Real-world scenario

Carlos Reyes · IT Admin at Bluewave Labs

Finance wants a breakdown of monthly server spend by provider before budget planning. Carlos filters Active servers, exports CSV, and sends Maya a Hetzner vs AWS split in ten minutes.

Before you begin

  • ITAM license enabled
  • View access to Digital Assets → Servers

Overview

Export respects search and filters on the servers table. If Carlos filters to Active + Hetzner, the CSV contains only those rows, not the entire org inventory. That keeps finance reports clean without manual spreadsheet filtering.

Step-by-step

  1. 1

Open ITAM → Digital Assets → Servers

Start with the full list or narrow it first.

  2. 2

    Apply filters or search (optional)

Only servers matching your current view are exported, e.g. all Hetzner hosts or everything in Maintenance.

  3. 3

Click Export in the table header

WorkVerge generates a CSV and downloads it. The filename includes today's date.

  4. 4

Open in Excel or Google Sheets

Share with finance for cost reviews or use as a template for CSV import elsewhere.

What is exported

The CSV includes key fields such as:

  • Name, type, IP, username
  • Provider, region, status
  • Price and org-currency conversion where applicable
  • Other columns visible in your table view

Example use

Quarterly provider review

Carlos filters Status = Active, exports twice, once with Provider = Hetzner, once with AWS, and combines totals in Sheets for Maya's budget deck.

Template for import

Export an empty-filter list before your first bulk import. Column headers match what CSV import expects, which reduces validation errors.
